Dan Henderson may be in his forties and taking more punishment in fights than ever before, but Sunday night's UFC Fight Night hero and main event winner still has UFC gold on his mind. The 43 year old former two-division Pride champion has yet to strap on a UFC belt but, after knocking out Mauricio "Shogun" Rua Sunday night, Henderson said that one more title run is still his goal.
"Yeah, I mean, that's pretty much the last goal of mine and the last thing that I need to achieve in this sport is getting that UFC title," Henderson said (video below).
"I've had other titles but, you know, just that UFC belt still eludes me a little bit. I'm still after it and I still feel like I'm capable of doing that."
Henderson went on to say that he's open to fighting in whatever division (middleweight or light heavyweight) that gives him a better chance at winning a UFC championship. Which division would you most want to see the former Olympic wrestler close his career out in?
And, how much of a factor do you think it will be that Henderson will now no longer be sanctioned to use testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? Let us know in the comments section.
