Alexander Gustafsson faces five to six week recovery post-surgery

Yesterday it was announced that number one UFC light heavyweight title contender Alexander Gustafsson was forced to pull out of his Sep. 27 championship rematch with Jon Jones because of a knee injury. Today, Gustafsson told Thomas Gerbasi of UFC.com that he tore a meniscus joint in his knee, will undergo surgery to repair it and then hopes to heal within five to six weeks after that.

?I?m disappointed I can?t fight, but this is not the end, it?s just the beginning,? he said. ?I?m going to come back much stronger.

Gustafsson added that the injury is "not a big deal at all," before also giving his prediction for who will win between Jones and his replacement, Daniel Cormier.?Both are great athletes and it?s going to be a tough fight for sure," the Swede said.

"But Jones has his height and reach advantage over DC, so I think that will be the key thing in this fight. I think Jones by decision.?

Who are you picking between Jones and Cormier? And, who would you rather see Gustafsson fight when he returns?
