The wait for the UFC debut of long-time women's boxing champion Holly Holm is going to be a bit longer.
Holm, who was slated to make her Octagon debut on Dec. 6 in Las Vegas against Raquel Pennington at UFC 181 at theMandalay Bay Events Center, suffered an undisclosed injury and withdrew from the bout. The injury was first reported by a Portuegese-language MMA site and later confirmed by MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani.
Holm was 32-2-3 as a boxer and was a two-division champion. She is one of the most high-profile boxers ever to transition to mixed martial arts.
She is seen as a potential 2015 challenger to UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
But it now appears that Holm won't make her Octagon debut until 2015.
