UFC?s Chris Weidman has ?no problem? moving up to 205lbs

UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman feels that he still has plenty left to accomplish at 185 pounds but he's also open to one day moving up a weight class.

"If it comes to the point where ?85 looks a little stale," Weidman recently told USA Today.

"I have no problem going to 205."

Weidman earned the middleweight title last July by knocking out longtime champ Anderson Silva. In December, Weidman earned a second consecutive second round stoppage over "The Spider" at UFC 168.

The Serra/Longo fighter out of Long Island next defends his title against Vitor Befort at UFC 173 in Las Vegas May 24.

?Right now, the 185-pound division is exciting. There?s a lot of guys and a lot of match ups that people want to see me against. So those are the fights I?m going to fight," Weidman went on.

?I want to clear out the middleweight division, and then fight the best at 205 and show the world what I can do. Once I feel like I?m not loving it and I?m slowing down, then I?ll stop. Hopefully I?m not one of those guys who are doing it for the wrong reasons toward the end and just fighting for a paycheck and getting knocked out every fight.?
