Light heavyweight Quinton Jackson may not like what Chael Sonnen represents as a fighter but he?s apparently unwilling to take it a step further by facing the outspoken grappler inside the Octagon. Recently Jackson and UFC President Dana White confirmed the 34-year old former champion turned down a chance to back up some tough talk criticizing Sonnen’s skill level by coaching against him on TUF 17 before eventually mixing it up in the cage.
The gig ultimately went to champion Jon Jones who will face Sonnen in late April.
?I don’t want to fight Chael. He’s the kind of fighter that I don’t want to fight. He’s a boring fighter that just wants to hump people,? said Jackson in an interview with MMAFighting after initially revealing his decision to decline a match-up with Sonnen.

Jackson is currently waiting to test out free agency after getting in the final bout on his deal with the UFC. He was expected to take on Glover Teixeira earlier this month but withdrew due to injury.
